Cesar Perales

César Perales born in 1990,
In 2009, he became a student at the Facultad De Bellas Artes in Altea, Spain.
After working in London and Qatar, painting with a company who created decor in theme parks, César returned to Spain there, he began to try and live through his own art. But it wasn’t until he came to Mexico that something shifted and he started to see himself as an artist.
In 2018, he traveled the Baja peninsula with a plan to explore all of Mexico. In Todos Santos, César was commissioned to paint a mural and thought he would continue on traveling and painting. Yet, the verdant oasis of Todos Santos caused roots to grow, and he stayed.
In 2020, César devoted himself to his art, with his first painting exhibition in June in Todos Santos.
Early that same year, he also opened El Nido, initially his painting studio, but a space that grew into a community center.
Along with five friends, César is now a co-organizer of Colectivo El Nido, a space for arts and cultural events and workshops. He continues to create art, exhibit, and teach drawing and painting classes in Todos Santos, Baja California Sur, Mexico
