La Baja 100

La Baja 100 is an ever-growing group of local artists in Todos Santos– established and emerging — who gather for a fun public event on the Second Saturday of the month and raise money for local beneficiaries. Our active season is December – April. The purpose of La Baja 100 is to support local artists by helping them promote their work to a larger audience, to create access to art for the whole community, and to raise money for organizations in need. This year La Baja 100 is joining up with the Todos Santos Open Studio Tour. You can see their work at Panteón 19.

Zoë Dearborn is an integrative therapist and artist. In both her art and healing work, Zoë’s goal is to find inventive and playful ways to express what is normally hidden in the human experience. She is inspired by naïve art, children’s art, and illustrations from children’s books and loves to blur the lines between fine art and popular culture.

Zoë holds an MA in Counseling Psychology and Expressive Arts Therapy and a BA in Studio Art. She works in a variety of media, including: painting, drawing, ceramics, photography, music, dance, and writing. In addition to her creative and healing work, Zoë loves to collaborate and build community in Todos Santos. Zoë is co-founder of La Baja 100, an initiative to support and promote the artists of Todos Santos and to raise money for the communities in need. She teaches classes and workshops in self-healing using the expressive arts and has a private counseling and coaching practice online and in Todos Santos. Originally from Brooklyn, Zoë has lived off the grid in BCS for 11 years with her husband and son.

Donna Hazleton, Living in the Baja for 13 years in the Sierra Laguna mountains and the pacific coastal town of Todos Santos, has allowed me time to pursue my passion for painting. I have been painting off and on for 20 years and my love of color and the rich material of the desert mountains and the ocean has given me boundless subject matter to work with in oils and acrylics. I started painting in landscapes and birds, and in the past 2 years I’ve moved into abstract layering with acrylics. You can see some of my work at the Mangos Gallery in Todos Santos and La Fortelezza in El Triunfo.
